Call of Duty: Ghosts purposedly revealed or accidently?

We've got word on the next Call of Duty, not that you should be surprised. Rumors floating about and what appears to be box art claims that the next title in the franchise will be Call of Duty: Ghosts develped by Infinity Ward. We've got an image of a product listing on Tesco above. The listing has been taken down. There's only the box art and a release date on the listing, but as usual, it's an early listing, and it's the second to last day of the year, so it's just a placeholder.

Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Guide: How To Win with Tanks in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer – Part 1

Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Guide: How To Win
with Tanks in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer – Part 1

Tanks are a major part of the arsenal that is at your disposal in Battlefield 3 multiplayer, so a good tank driver is usually also a good Battlefield player. This is the first part of a series of articles that will help you become a better digital tank warrior.
I still remember the childish joy that I felt when I first put myself in a tank. It was back in 2002. The game was Battlefield 1942. Like a small Leonardo DiCaprio, I felt like the king of the world. For about 24 seconds. At that point, a Panzerschreck put a sudden and effective end to my euphoria. Ever since, Dice has managed to fill their subsequent games with many motorized and large caliber treats. Battlefield 3 is no exception.

The Tanks of Battlefield 3 multiplayer

There are two battle tanks available in Battlefield 3 online. These are:
The American M1 Abrams – A heavy-armed, heavily armored and highly mobile tank. It is named after U.S. General Creighton Abrams, who led American forces in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972. The tank that carries his name weighs well over 60 tons and is currently the main tank of the U.S. military.
The Russian T-90 – This, too, is a large and well-equipped tank. It has been in service to the Russian army since the mid-1990s. T-90 is a modernized version of the T-72, and got the designation T-72B to begin with. It is almost 10 meters long and over 3.5 meters wide. The tank weighs well over 40 tons. Its top speed is 60 km/h.

Game Changers

Like squads, tanks can dramatically change the flow and outcome of a game of Battlefield 3 multiplayer. However, just as with squads, you need to learn how to use them in order to put them to your advantage. The difference between an excellent tank commander and a poor one is knowledge, and a whole lot of practice.
The following tips will help you spread fear and horror across the virtual battlefield. This article is mostly based on (often painful) experiences I had in earlier installments of the series. However, I’m pretty sure that the advice I am giving will work well for Battlefield 3 multiplayer.

Tanks are not a transport

Do not use a tank just to get from one point to another quickly. I’ve seen this happen many times: players throw themselves into a tank, hurry off to their objective and then leave their vehicle without using it to fire a single shot. This typically leads to at least one of two scenarios:
  1. Your teammates become mad at you because you are wasting your valuable resources.
  2. Your opponents take control of your deserted tank. Then, in contrast to you, they put it to good use to defend themselves or attack your side.
You should use a tank for the thing it was made to do – making life difficult for your opponents.

It Takes Two to Tango

A tank will be twice as effective when you man it with two players (in the PC version there is room for up to three players). Let’s say you’re the one who is driving it. This puts you in control of the main weapon and allows you to take out your opponent’s tanks and other heavy vehicles. In addition, you can destroy buildings, trees, vehicles, walls and other things which the enemy is using for cover.
If you allow a friend to man the machine gun, he or she can add to this by focusing on lighter targets: infantry, infantry armed with with rocket launchers ready to blow a hole into your tank, helicopters, light vehicles, UAVs, mines, etc.
This will really make you twice as effective. The battles in the Battlefield series can get quite intense. You will have to deal with more than you can handle if you ride solo – especially if you’re playing against good opponents. The opposite can happen if there’s two of you in a tank.  By combining heavy tank fire and fast gunning, you will make life tough for the best of opponents, while ending it for the rest.
Therefore, if possible, you should always take an ally along for the tank ride. Being alone in a tank is about as fun as  tango dancing without a partner – and only slightly more lethal.

Always repair your tank

Manning a tank together can offer another advantage, if at least one of you is an engineer. This way, one of you can jump out of the tank to carry out any necessary repairs, while the other can stay inside to make sure that bullets and shells keep flying. By prolonging the lifetime of your tank, you can cause even more mayhem and carnage on the battlefield.
Starting with Battlefield 3, tanks will also come with a pretty useful accessory: self-healing armor. This increases the chance that your tank survives heavy bombardment. A sensible strategy with self-healing armor would be:
  1. Pull out of the battle if the armor of your tank becomes too low.
  2. Drive to a safe place.
  3. Wait for the armor to be regenerated.
  4. Throw yourself into the fight again.
Of course, moving out of a battle with a damaged tank may not be the easiest feat to accomplish, so having an engineer on-board makes sense even with self-healing armor. Do note that if you want to make use of a repairman within the heat of battle, you’d better be able to provide him with a “bullet shadow” on one side of your tank. In Battlefield, there are few easier targets than an engineer working a power tool!
Later on in this series, I will deal with repairs more extensively.

Count to five

Do not stress when you drive a tank. Work your way forward slowly but surely. Be on the lookout for any possible dangers, like opponents carrying rocket launchers, anti-tank mines, and helicopters. The latter two are especially notorious tank killers, so take them out before they destroy you.
Avoid standing still for long. A tank is a big target, so if it stands still, it’s also an easy target. Each time you stand still, start counting to five in the back of your head. When you get to six, start driving again.
Do not drive a tank into the middle of your opponents’ base. It may look ferocious and yes, you can run over foot soldiers, but a tank is pretty helpless if it gets surrounded. In the middle of a group of enemies, it lacks both the  speed and agility that is necessary to take them out. As a consequence, your tank will get covered with C4, showered with grenades and blown to tank heaven faster than you can brag about the size of your barrel.

Elevate the gun to shoot further

A tank is a formidable weapon, even over long distances. Use this to your advantage. You can do serious damage even if you are far away from your opponents.
Shooting from a distance is a lot safer than the alternative, but it’s a bit trickier to aim right. As the distance between you and your target becomes longer, you will need to increasingly compensate for bullet drop. As in real life, projectiles are pulled towards the earth by gravity. You may have to fire your tank gun several times to find the correct trajectory for the shells if the target is far away. In a few hits, you can “bracket” the correct aim:
  1. Fire your first shell.
  2. You can usually see where the shell hits. Remember this point.
  3. Did you hit your target it?!? Wow! You really are good!
  4. You missed? Ok, adjust the barrel for a bit. Either up or down.
  5. Fire another shell. Return to point 2.

10 CS:GO Tips and Tricks

First of enable "developer console" it's probably your most useful tool. Go to  HELP & OPTIONS > GAME SETTINGS > Enable Developer Console = Yes (To open your console push the squiggle line bellow the esc key.)

1. Feel like your game is going slow? Open your console and input [net_graph 1] a little graph should show on the bottom left of your screen, if your in-game and your "FPS" is below 30 then you should close some programs. You can change it to [net_graph 2] & [net_graph 3] they provide more date that you'll probably never need. Also you wanna always join servers that provide a 100-128 tick-rate the higher the better, they are the two numbers in the middle all the way to the right of the graph. To close the graph input [net_graph 0].

2. Connecting to a game that you don't want to join? Since Valve decided to remove the cancel button you can open your console and type [Disconnect] at anytime to cancel the loading screen

3. Have an annoying person spamming there mic with music or bullshit you don't want to hear? Open your scoreboard and use your arrows on your keyboard, highlight the name you hate and click the "Delete" key not the backspace key. This will mute just that person in-game. You can also see your Steam profile by pushing enter.

4. NEVER USE SCROLL TO CHANGE WEAPONS!!! I used to always use my scroll wheel to change weapons but I discovered once you master the power of the numbers is soo much faster. 1 = Primary, 2 = Secondary, 3 = Knife/Zeus, and 4 = Grenades (Not the Number Pad). Once you master changing your weapons using the numbers you'll thank me a ton.

5. Need someone's Steam ID? Open your console and type [status]. Cool fact the lower the persons Steam ID # the older the account is! (Must be in a server!)

6. Wanna record your game for latter viewing? Open your console and type [record name] then play, once your done type [stop] in your console. When you want to view it latter type [Play "Name of Demo"]. If you want to share it go to CS:GO's game folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo) and just send the one you want it'll be "nameofdemo.dem". Tell them to put it in the same directory and play it the same way you do.

7. Have the IP of the server you want to join? Just type [connect XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:XXXXX] in your console and it'll connect you.

8. Running is cool and all but once you start getting closer to enemy territory make sure to walk, don't reload and try not to change weapons. The enemy will never see you coming.

9. Ever want to practice on a map by your self? Go to [gamebanana.com] download the map you want and place it in (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps). Open your game go to PLAY>OFFLINE WITH BOTS and once your in there open your console and type [changelevel "nameofmap"] and just start playing!! *Note: when it first starts its gonna load it for the bots just let it do it's thing.

10. Are you in a team/clan/guild? Go to HELP & OPTIONS>GAME SETTINGS>Team Tag, and select the team your in! it'll automatically add it to your team section so everyone knows your buddies and you are bad ass mofo's.

L4D2 : Versus Strategy

Versus is a multiplayer game mode in Left 4 Dead 2 that allows four players to be the standard survivors and another four players to act as the infected.
This adds a broader range to the gameplay as players get a chance to be their most hated enemy and take the role of trying to killing the survivors.
This mode is played on standard campaign maps where the two teams take turns in each of the roles, and are awarded points on how well they complete rounds.

THE INFECTED TIPS:

Hunter:
The hunter is one of the infected from the first title, and remains the staple of the infected versus spawns. The hunter is a small and agile infected that moves extremely quickly and is weak to direct attack. The Hunters main ability is the pounce, which can incapacitate and eventually kill a player if done correctly. This is best used when a player wanders off on thier own, as you can be shot off if you try to attack the survivors in a group. The hunter is also a great infected to use with another infected player, as you can pounce on a player caught in a smokers tongue or you can attack a player who is blinded by Boomer bile.

Boomer:
The Boomer is a fat mutated infected with the ability to spray bile over survivors which temporarily blinds them and attracts a large mob of normal infected. The Boomer is extremely slow and weak, and a massive target, and staying alive long enough to hit players with the bile attack is often a challenge. The best way to play this infected is by hiding in areas the survivors must travel through, or waiting in an area that you can hit the survivors before they have time to react and kill you. This is also an infected that works great in a team, as the blinding bile and leave the survivors open to attack from another player on your team.

Smoker:
The Smoker is an infected with the ability to shoot out a long tongue and pull a survivor towards them and then cause damage. This attack give the smoker an advantage as you can attack players from a much longer range than the other infected, and is relatively safer to play than infected that need to get close. There is a number of ways to use the smoker effectively, one of which is to pull away a survivor for another teammate to damage, which can easily kill a player if done correctly. Another way to use the smoker, and the best in my opinion, is use the tongue to pull a player into a witch or off a ledge. This is a bit “cheap”, but I mean hey, life isn’t fair.

Tank:
The Tank is probably the best experience in versus, as it lets you spawn with the strongest infected in the game, who can single handedly kill entire groups of survivors in the hands of a skilled infected player. The tank has a massive amount of hitpoints and can deal huge amounts of damage with melee attacks, plus you have the ability to knock down or stun a player by throwing chunks of concrete or cars at players from a distance. The tank is best used with other infected, as it can draw alot of fire and let the weaker infected get close to do special attacks. The tank is however, a “rare” spawning infected, and is generally only given to the infected team once or twice a round.

Jockey:
The Jockey is one of the new infected in Left 4 Dead 2 and is one of the more strange infected in terms of special attack. The jockey is a small hunched creature that looks like the what would happen if Gollum got infected with the T-Virus. The jockey has the ability to “ride” a survivor, and control the survivor for a period of time, allowing you to steer the helpless player off a ledge or into a pack of infected. The jockey can be quite strong if used correctly, but must be close to a player to jump on and control, which leaves it open to attack.

Charger:
The charger is an infected that looks like a smaller version of a tank with a single giant arm. The charger has the ability to charge a player and deal massive damage to any players hit by the initial charge attack. After the charge, you can pick up a player and slam them into the ground to deal additional damage, and often kill weakened players. The charger is one of the stronger of the normal infected, and can take a few bullets before being killed, giving it some time to attack a group of players directly. The best way to use a charger is to attack a group of players that are backed in a corner or room, as the charge attack can be sidestepped in the open by a skilled survivor.

Spitter:
The Spitter is another one of the new infected, and comes in the form a disturbing scantily clad “woman” with the ability to spit corrosive acid at survivors. This special attack can be done from long range, and can do significant damage to a group of players if done correctly, it is also a great way to make survivors go a specific direction by blocking a doorway or area with acid. If used strategically the spitter can be a great way to herd players into areas where teammates wait for them, or do good splash damage to an entire group. The downfall of the spitter is the long cooldown on the main attack, which is often frustrating when in a situation that requires you to wait.

SURVIVOR TIPS:

1. The infected controlled by players are alot different than the infected in the campaign, and obviously a person is going to play alot different than the game AI. This is a good thing to keep in mind, as infected players can often do things that will surprise you into panicking and dieing, and are often aggressive to the point of suicidal.
2. A good strategy is to either move very slowly through a level, or move fast to the point of sprinting to the safe room, as you can throw the infected players off guard this way.
3. Keep in mind how you would play as infected, and watch for areas that are good ambush points. Often where you would normally hide as an infected player is where they would hide as well.
4. Any good infected team will work together, if you have not been attacked for a while it often means they are “plotting” a combo attack, such as a smoker drag and hunter pounce at the same time. Infected players that do this are the ones that can easily kill survivors who are not careful.
5. Remember that although you need to watch out for enemy players, you can’t let the normal infected get out of control. Its best to assign one player the role of “crowd control” and have them gun down the normal infected while you keep an eye out for the player controlled infected.
6. Players can do alot of things the AI would not, like drag you off a ledge or into a witch, so be careful when in situations that leave you open to cheap attacks.
7. Keep in mind that infected controlled by players gives you an advantage, as you can be extremely aggressive and not get destroyed by the AI, which punished you for running ahead. An aggressive and quick moving survivor team can easily navigate areas before infected players have a time to set up ambush points.
8. When in areas that require you to stay in a defensive position while waiting for an event to happen, keep in mind that the best position may not be the same while fighting players. A place that gave you a massive advantage over the AI may leave you vulnerable to a smoker or boomer who can actually think for itself.
9. Healing must be done very carefully, as the infected players can tell when you are healing and open to attack, whereas the AI could not.
10. NEVER, go off on your own, as an infected player will almost always kill you if you are without help.

FPS Aiming training websites

Three essential skills that you need to pwn the nubs in any FPS:

Aim
Reflex / Timing
Accuracy

Here are some of the top flash games I have came across that I believe will help you strengthen those skills. You don't have to play them 24/7 and think you'll be pro the next day... I assure you these will slowly but surely increase your precision and reaction. Once you get those down, you're sure to be called an aimbot.
Aim400kg - Special Training for Gamers
http://aim400kg.ru/en/
To play this game, once you click the link above you will be redirected to the site but you will notice it is in a different language. To get to the English-translated site, you will have to click the flag icon at the top right corner of the screen. After doing that, click on the "Training" link at the top of the page and choose a game to start. This game covers Accuracy (Exact Aiming), Reaction time (Press Reaction) and a combination of all three (Fast Aiming).
This game will help you improve your aim by allowing you to quickly aim for the targets and score as many points as you can while trying to keep on the middle of the target. This game is also great for helping you practice "Drag Shots" with a sniper. A drag shot is a combination of a quick scope, but dragging your mouse towards the enemy and shooting.
This quick little game will test you on how well your reaction time is. Just start the game and click as fast as you can when the red dot lights up to yellow. Average time is 0.2 - 0.25 seconds.

Bullet Time Reaction

http://bullettimereaction.com/
Another reaction game, except in this game your reaction time results in whether you dodge the bullet or you go boom.

There are a ton of other flash games out there, but I highly recommend trying out the first game, "Special Training For Gamers" on the Aim400kg site. Playing these won't instantly make you better, but in the long run it will definetely help out a lot!
