10 CS:GO Tips and Tricks

First of enable "developer console" it's probably your most useful tool. Go to  HELP & OPTIONS > GAME SETTINGS > Enable Developer Console = Yes (To open your console push the squiggle line bellow the esc key.)

1. Feel like your game is going slow? Open your console and input [net_graph 1] a little graph should show on the bottom left of your screen, if your in-game and your "FPS" is below 30 then you should close some programs. You can change it to [net_graph 2] & [net_graph 3] they provide more date that you'll probably never need. Also you wanna always join servers that provide a 100-128 tick-rate the higher the better, they are the two numbers in the middle all the way to the right of the graph. To close the graph input [net_graph 0].

2. Connecting to a game that you don't want to join? Since Valve decided to remove the cancel button you can open your console and type [Disconnect] at anytime to cancel the loading screen

3. Have an annoying person spamming there mic with music or bullshit you don't want to hear? Open your scoreboard and use your arrows on your keyboard, highlight the name you hate and click the "Delete" key not the backspace key. This will mute just that person in-game. You can also see your Steam profile by pushing enter.

4. NEVER USE SCROLL TO CHANGE WEAPONS!!! I used to always use my scroll wheel to change weapons but I discovered once you master the power of the numbers is soo much faster. 1 = Primary, 2 = Secondary, 3 = Knife/Zeus, and 4 = Grenades (Not the Number Pad). Once you master changing your weapons using the numbers you'll thank me a ton.

5. Need someone's Steam ID? Open your console and type [status]. Cool fact the lower the persons Steam ID # the older the account is! (Must be in a server!)

6. Wanna record your game for latter viewing? Open your console and type [record name] then play, once your done type [stop] in your console. When you want to view it latter type [Play "Name of Demo"]. If you want to share it go to CS:GO's game folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo) and just send the one you want it'll be "nameofdemo.dem". Tell them to put it in the same directory and play it the same way you do.

7. Have the IP of the server you want to join? Just type [connect XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:XXXXX] in your console and it'll connect you.

8. Running is cool and all but once you start getting closer to enemy territory make sure to walk, don't reload and try not to change weapons. The enemy will never see you coming.

9. Ever want to practice on a map by your self? Go to [gamebanana.com] download the map you want and place it in (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps). Open your game go to PLAY>OFFLINE WITH BOTS and once your in there open your console and type [changelevel "nameofmap"] and just start playing!! *Note: when it first starts its gonna load it for the bots just let it do it's thing.

10. Are you in a team/clan/guild? Go to HELP & OPTIONS>GAME SETTINGS>Team Tag, and select the team your in! it'll automatically add it to your team section so everyone knows your buddies and you are bad ass mofo's.
